A family dinner party in honor of the visitors will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Berlin on Saturday evening, June 13th.  Several other courtesies are being planned for Mrs. Dobbs.

Mrs. Warren Oglesby thanks her many friends for their kindness during her recent illness.

Corporal Jacob Borushek, son of the George Borusheks, is home on a furlough after nearly two years of duty in Korea and Japan.  He arrived home just in time to help his parents move to their new home at 4209 67th St., where their friends will be most welcome to call.

Did you see the pictures of Stephen Elliott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Stitzel, with Nina Foch in the picture-story of television directing in last week’s “Life” Magazine?

We’re happy to be able to report that San Diego residents cannot stay away very long.  Esther Siegel received a warm reception from the staff of the Barcelona Hotel when she returned to San Diego.  She found flowers in her room as a welcome home gift.  All of her friends are glad to see her and hope she stays.

Also back in San Diego, after several years in Baytown, Texas, are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jacobs (Joan Jacobson).  Arriving with their parents, as new S.D. residents are 3½ year old Gary and 2 month old Kenneth.  The Jacobs will move into their newly completed home about the middle of August.

Mr. and Mrs. Denny Orlansky announce the birth of their second son, Robert Alan, on May 21.  The young man weighed 8 lbs. 2 ozs.  Three year old Marc is sure so husky a brother will make a good playmate.

Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edward Addleson and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Orlansky, have every right to congratulate each other.

The second daughter for Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Steckel is Beverly Lynne, born May 27 and weighing 5 lbs. 8 oz.  Rosalind at four and a half, should find Beverly more company than a doll.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Philip Grill of New York.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arnson announce the birth of their third child, a daughter, Gale Ann, born June 8, weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz.  Big brothers, 4½ year old Curt, and 2 year old Ronnie, are looking forward to welcoming their sister into the nursery.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Arnson of Cleveland and Mr. and Mrs. Abe Sklar.

Young Gale Ann is the first of her family to be born in San Diego, her parents and brothers having moved here from Cleveland just three months ago.

Nan and Nat Schiller left May 30th for an “a-gypsying” trip.  Their only plans were to drive north and stop whenever and wherever they were so inclined.  They should have some interesting tales for their friends when they return June 15th.

Mrs. Millie Harris flew to Corvallis, Oregon June 7th for a two month visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Goldberg.  From Oregon, Mrs. Harris is flying to Chicago, where she will attend the marriage of her granddaughter.  By no means the end of her trip, for from there she flies to New York.  It will be six months before San Diegans can welcome Mrs. Harris back.

The great trek East is in full swing.  Brenda and Ilene Heiman, daughters of the Leon Heimans are motoring across country with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Heiman of Los Angeles.  They expect to make many stops en route with lengthier visits with relatives in New York, Boston, and Washington.  The girls will be gone most of the summer but will be able to spend some time with at least one of their parents, since Leon is leaving June 18 to attend the Furniture Marts in Chicago and New York and plans to meet his daughters in New York.
