Synagogue fundraiser to feature
'Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad'
NAPA VALLEY, California (Press Release)-Judd’s Hill winery announces a concert fundraiser on August 8, 2009---a performance by Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad, a group of performers from New York City who will be performing only this one show at the winery. More at The event is a fundraiser for the Youth Education Program at Congregation Beth Sholom in Napa.
The evening will include a VIP reception with a walk-around tasting tour of the Napa Valley including treats from Martini House (St. Helena), Angele (Napa) and La Toque (also in Napa), among others. Judd’s Hill wines will be available throughout the evening.
Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad is a night of comedy, music and burlesque, “told by the gals who learned to smoke at Hebrew School, got drunk at their Bat Mitzvahs and would rather have more schtuppa than the chuppah,” as their website explains.

Liora Avrahami to direct El Al
operations for U.S. West Coast
LOS ANGELES (Press Release)— EL AL, Israel’s national airline, has announced the appointment of Liora Avrahami as West Coast Regional Manager. In this position, Avrahami is responsible for leading all EL AL sales and marketing activities related to the five weekly nonstop EL AL flights between Los Angeles and Israel, the only nonstop service on this route. Based in Los Angeles at the EL AL office, she is also representing EL AL in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.
For more than three years, Avrahami served as EL AL Sales Manager for New York, the tri-state region and the Northeast corridor. She has worked at EL AL for almost 24 years and has held a variety of managerial positions, including Business Account Manager and Unit Sales Manager at the EL AL Israel branch in Tel Aviv.
Avrahami earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and French Linguistics from Tel Aviv University and a Masters of Business Administration from Ramat Gan College at Heriot-Watt University in Israel. She is married and the mother of three children.
