CYBER-REFERRALS

What else is out there for us Jews to read?

SAN DIEGO— Have you read interesting stories in other publications about the Middle East, about our fellow Jews, or Jewish institutions? Please consider sharing them with other readers of San Diego Jewish World by taking the time to send us a link. We'll pass applicable stories on and give you credit for finding them. Let's keep each other informed! Meanwhile, here are some suggestions:

I. Gerry Burstain of Escondido, California: A column by Anne Bayefsky on the Jewish World Review website suggesting that the Jewish community needs to stop closing its eyes to President Obama's pro-Arab sympathies. Here's the link.

Donald H. Harrison, San Diego Jewish World editor:

Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaie had said that he didn't have a problem with the people of Israel, just its government--too liberal a position in Teheran. Here's the link. Yet, the Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz had a story that the reports were untrue that the man had resigned. Here's that link.

—A Reuters story in the Washington Post about Defense Secretary Robert Gates planning an as yet unannounced trip
