Tifereth Israel sponsors 'Dress

SAN DIEGO (Press Release)--Tifereth Israel Synagogue will be collecting new or gently used women’s business professional attire in support of Dress for Success, a not-for-profit organization that helps women find and keep jobs.

Dress for Success solves the Catch-22 that confronts disadvantaged women trying to enter the workforce: without a job, how can you afford a suit? But without a suit, how can you get a job?  Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and additional apparel—up to a week’s worth of clothing—when she becomes employed.

Please bring to the synagogue (6660 Cowles Mountain Blvd, San Diego) your new or gently used women’s suits, slacks, skirts, blouses, shoes and accessories. All donations should be appropriate to wear to work, as well as clean, stylish, and in good condition.  Please provide all garments on hangers, as they will be made available immediately through Dress for Success boutiques.

Tifereth Israel will be accepting clothing donations through Thursday, August 20.  For more information about Dress for Success, please visit their website.  This suit drive is being sponsored by Robert Half International, a specialized staffing agency.
