Meyer writes to his son, Sol, who's serving time in prison for securities fraud.

"My dear Solly," the letter says. "It looks like I won't be able to plant anything in the garden this year. I'm getting too old to do much digging without your help. I hope you'll be out and able to do it with me next year. Love, Dad."

Sol writes back, "Dear Dad, Don't do any digging in the garden. That's where I hid all the bearer bonds. I'll be out of here soon enough. Please be patient. Love,  Sol,"

The next  morning the police show up at Meyer's house and attack the garden.

They turn up nothing and eventually leave.

Two days later Meyer receives another letter from Sol.

It says, "Dear Dad,  "I assume the garden has been dug up. Now you can start to plant your garden. It's the best I could do from here."
