May is a retired English teacher from Wilson Junior High School and Patrick Henry High School who is forever being stopped by former students who remember and appreciate her. A lover of the arts, she serves as a volunteer usher at the San Diego Symphony, the San Diego Repertory Theatre, the Theatre at Old Town and at the Old Globe.
