February 6, 1986 –“Dr. Robert Siegel Honored: SDSU Lipinsky Institute Establishes Lectureship,” Israel Today, San Diego edition, p 10:  The Annual Robert Siegel Memorial Lectureship on Contemporary Jewish and Israeli Affairs has been established at San Diego State University as a tribute to Dr. Robert Siegel. It is part of SDSU’s Lipinsky Institute for Judaic Studies.  Opening the annual Lectureship will be Dr. Jacob Goldberg of the Dayan (Shiloah) Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies in Tel aviv University.  He will discuss “The Peace Process: Changing Israeli Perceptions,” from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, feb. 9, in the West Commons, SDSU. There will be a reception immediately following the lecture. There will be no charge to attend. Lieutenant Governor Leo McCarthy will emcee.  Dr. Siegel’s contributions to the community included many years of leadership on the boards of the Jewish Community Center, Hebrew Home for the Aged, San Diego Dental Society and the Political Actin Committee for the Dental Society…. "Bernard Reich to Speak at San Diego State," San Diego Jewish Times, p.35--One of America's most distinguished experts in Middle eastern affairs, Prof. Bernard Reich, chair of the political science department of George Washington University in Washington D.C. and consultant on Middle Eastern affairs to U.S. government agencies and multinational corporations, will deliver the third annual Robert Siegel Memorial Lecture from 2 to 4 p.. on Sunday, Oct. 30, in West Commons at San Diego STate University.  A question-and-answer session and reception will follow. "Cornell Professor to Deliver Robert Siegel Memorial Lecture," San Diego Jewish Times, p. 27:  Steven Katz, a professor of Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University, will deliver the fourth annual Robert Siegel Memorial Lecture at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in the Don Powell Theatre.
