GAY AND JEWISH—Congregation Dor Hadash, in honor of Gay Pride Month, sponsors a 7 p.m. Writing Slam/Poetry Jam in which contestants will read aloud their responses to the question, "How has your life been affected by being gay or lesbian and transgender or queer and Jewish or not or questioning or converting? " Winner will take the proceeds from a $5 entry fee for contestants, $7 fee for audience. The Reconstructionist congregation is located at 4858 Ronson Court in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
