Before we both came out to San Diego, I remember seeing Ted Leitner on a major TV channel in Philadelphia doing the sports reports. Shirley and I would always look forward to his sports reports because of his dynamic personality, and the fact that he could, on occasion, be very critical and outspoken about the top sport stars. I can picture him speaking to the back of the room and sometimes even shouting. Since he has been on TV channels in San Diego, I have seen him doing the same thing. I enjoy his unique, flamboyant sports reporting. Recently, I noticed that he was doing a funny commercial for the DZ Aikins Jewish Deli. Overall, Leitner is an asset to the city of San Diego.— Lou Berger, August 26, 2005.
